On 31st January, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), held a naming and delivery ceremony for the 49,600 DWT chemical/product oil tanker No.1, which was built for China Develpoment Bank Leasing, and the tanker was named “ARREBOL”.
Designed with a new generation of MR type independently developed by GSI, ARREBOL has an overall length of 183 metres, a beam of 32 metres, a design draught of 11 metres and a service speed of 14.5 knots.
The MR tanker is equipped with energy saving devices and SCR exhaust gas treatment system, which can further reduce fuel consumption and meet the requirements of the latest rules and regulations in force, it’s Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) meets the requirements of the International Maritime Organisation’s latest phase III.
