PZM Takes Delivery of 37,000 DWT Great Lakes Bulk Carriers Polsteam Dabie

Recently, an environmentally advanced 37,000DWT vessel named ‘Polsteam Dabie’ was delivered by CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) to the international bulker specialist Polska Żegluga Morska (PZM).

This new vessel is the first in a series of twelve super-eco Great Lakes Bulk Carriers ordered by the PZM and is a special ship for bulk cargo transportation in the Great Lake region at the junction of the United States and Canada.

The total length of the vessel is 199.99 meters, the width is 23.70 meters, the depth is 15.60 meters, and the scantling draft is 11.30 meters. It is equipped with a shaft generator, pitch propeller, and SCR nitrogen oxide emission purification system. The vessel not only meets the IMO 2025 effective standard (EEDI phase III), but also excels in handling, economy, and environmental impact, outperforming similar products.

The early delivery of this project is the good start for the two parties to further deepen the long term cooperation and marks the strong return of DSIC Shanhaiguan shipyard to the global lake cargo ship market.
