MARIC wins design contract for 9,200 TEU dual-fuel container ships

Recently, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd,(SWS) a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), and Marine Design & Research Institute of China (MARIC) held a signing ceremony for the design contract of 9,200 TEU dual-fuel container ships.

It is said that the contracted 9200TEU dual-fuel container ship is a new generation of large-scale green energy container ship designed by MARIC. This ship type meets the requirements of the third stage of the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EDDI) by reducing the emission of all kinds of pollutants from the fuel source. This ship type is in the leading class of Carbon Intensity Index (CII), which is a high-quality ship type that integrates powerful loading efficiency and efficient operation performance, and meets the demand of green, low-carbon and environmental protection.

The signing of the above design contract is a testimony to the depth of cooperation between the two parts, and is a further recognition of the dual-fuel large container ship technology of MARIC.
