A new shipyard in China is set to kick off with an investment of RMB 600 million

On January 26, Putian Government released a public bidding for the EPC Project of Putian Lianfa Shipbuilding Base.

The announcement disclosed that the project of Putian Lianfa Shipbuilding Base proposed by Fujian Putian Lianfa Ship Repair Yard Co., Ltd. has been approved by Putian Government. This bidding covers the design, procurement and construction of the EPC project for Putian Lianfa Shipbuilding Base.

The project is located in the North Coastal Economic Development Zone of Meizhou Bay, Putian City, with a total investment of RMB 609,679,500,000 (about USD 84,940,000) and a total designed construction period of 548 days. The project includes land reclamation, supporting docks and corresponding ship repair and other production and life support facilities. The first phase of the project has a reclamation area of 26.2284 hectares, and the second phase is to build three 5,000-ton ship repair docks and the corresponding production and living support facilities for ship repair.

It is understood that the main business of Fujian Putian Lianfa Ship Repair Yard Co., Ltd. covers ship repair and maintenance, with a registered capital of RMB 41,536,000 yuan as a wholly state-owned enterprise.
