On January 24, the new generation wind power installation platform, constructed by China Merchants Heavy Industries Haimen shipyard (CMHI Haimen shipyard) for China Railway Major Bridge Eng Engineering Group(MBEC), was successfully launched.
This wind power installation platform is completely developed, designed and constructed by China Merchants Industry Group (CMI). It is mainly designed for offshore wind power construction with water depth not more than 70 meters, and it features high operational efficacy. It will be the first one in China to implement the integrated transportation and installation of 15MW/16MW and 20W offshore wind turbines from the dock base to the construction site, and its operating water depth reaches 70 meters, which is the deepest in the world.
The vessel is equipped with 1600T crane, mainly used for lifting the whole parts of wind turbine of 20MW and below, lifting the bulk parts of 25MW wind turbine, meeting the offshore navigation, unlimited navigation area mobilization, and will fly the Chinese flag. This project will be delivered in the second quarter of 2024.
