On January 17, the 1600T self-propelled jack-up wind power installation platform designed by Shanghai Bestway Marine Engineering Design under the general contract of Dajin Heavy Industry was successfully launched into the water, marking that Bestway Marine & Energy Technology has reached a new level in the field of deep-sea wind power installation platform.
This new wind power installation platform integrates the latest fourth-generation self-elevating and self-propelled integrated wind power installation technology. It is equipped with a 1,600-ton full slewing crane, which can operate in water depths of up to 70 meters and has a variable load of more than 8,500 tons.
With a main deck area of 4,000 square meters, the platform can install a maximum of 20 MW wind turbines. It is worth mentioning that the semi-submersible barge, which helped launch the wind power platform, is also designed by Shanghai Bestway Marine Engineering Design which is the largest semi-submersible barge in the world.
