Recently, Hong Kong shipowner Comerge Shipping placed an order for two 85,000 dwt bulk carriers at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd.
It is reported that this type of ship adopts methanol dual-fuel, and the cost of construction is about $42 million per ship, which is about $6 million higher than the same type of traditional fuel newbuilding bulk carrier.
It is worth mentioning that this order also means that Chengxi Shipyard will build dual-fuel vessels for the first time.
