CSSC 704 Research Institute supplied the fin stabilizer for cruise ship

Recently, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) 704 Research Institute signed a supply contract for fin stabilizer devices of ARANUO cruise ship with Huanghai Shipbuilding Co.

It is understood that the ARANUO is designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI), built by Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and classed by BV. The ship is 102 meters long, with a displacement of 7,600 tons and a maximum speed of 15 knots, and will be exported to Polynesia, operating between its capital, Papeete, and its largest island, Tahiti.

The device has upgraded the fin type, which can further reduce the ship’s sailing resistance and improve the rocking reduction effect. Furthermore, it is equipped with a new generation of hydraulic drive system, which effectively improves the response speed of the device and the rocking reduction effect under adverse sea conditions.
