Recently, Hudong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of CSSC Power(Group) Co.,Ltd(CPGC), successfully delivered the first dual-fuel main engine 7X62DF-2.1 with Intelligent Control Exhaust Gas Recirculation (iCER) system.
It is reported that the engine is designed by WinGD and equipped with Hudong Heavy Machinery’s self-developed exhaust gas cleaning system, water treatment system, GVU, exhaust gas high temperature valve and other system components. It features a maximum sustained power of 14,200kW, adopts DF-2.0 technology, and is equipped with the iCER system, which reduces methane escape by 50% in gas mode.
The successful delivery of 7X62DF-2.1 marks another big step forward for CPGC in the field of green and low-carbon development of ship power.
