Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry was awarded a contract to build a 1,000-ton full-circle slewing crane vessel

On December 27, 2023, Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology Co., Ltd., China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau and CRCC Financial Leasing Co., Ltd, and CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery Co., Ltd jointly signed a contract for the construction of a 1,000-ton full-circle swing crane vessel.

The 1,000-ton full-circle slewing crane vessel is a non-self-propelled crane ship, designed with an overall length of 130 meters, a beam of 37.2 meters and a depth of 8.8 meters. The ship is a steel, fully welded and monocoque structure, which is classed by CCS and flying the Chinese flag.

The vessel will be mainly used for bridge prefabricated structural components installation such as steel box girder lifting, concrete box girder lifting, steel cofferdam installation and other bridge construction operations such as steel pipe pile insertion and driving.

The signing of this contract is the first large-scale offshore vessel construction project jointly cooperated by the above parties, which is of milestone significance.
