CMJL (Weihai) Delivered the First EPS-7000 CEU Dual Fuel PCTC “CMA CGM INDIANAPOLIS”

On December 20th, CMA CGM INDIANAPOLIS, the first 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC built by China Merchants Jingling Shipyard (Weihai) Co. Ltd. CMJL (Weihai) for Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS), was delivered 102 days ahead of schedule.

“CMA CGM INDIANAPOLIS” is the first vessel of CMJL (Weihai)’s 7,000 CEU series of dual-fuel car carriers, and is also the final project of CMJL (Weihai)’s shipbuilding program for delivery in 2023. The early delivery of this project marks the company’s entry into the fast track of batch construction of PCTC vessels.

The ship has a length of 199.9 meters, a breadth of 38 meters, a design draft of 8.6 meters and a speed of 19 knots. The vessel is equipped with a total of 12 cargo decks, which are divided into fixed and movable types, improving cargo loading and unloading efficiency and enhancing the economic benefits.

The ship’s power system features a high-pressure dual-fuel system, equipped with two 2,000 m3 LNG storage tanks, a shaft-belt generator and a lithium battery hybrid propulsion system. Meanwhile, it adopts a number of environmental protection technologies, such as photovoltaic system, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet the requirements of TIER III emission standards of the IMO, which has significant advantages of energy saving, environmental protection and high efficiency.
