“X-PRESS PISCES”, a 7000TEU container vessel built by SWS, a subsidiary of CSSC, for X-PRESS FEEDERS GROUP, was successfully delivered on November 17th.
This ship is a new generation of green, energy-saving and environment-friendly container ship newly developed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI) under CSSC. The overall length is 272 meters, beam is 42.8 meters, depth is 24.6 meters, full load draft is 15 meters, deadweight is about 86,000 tons; the deck can be loaded with 9 layers and 17 rows of containers, and the hold can be loaded with 8 layers and 15 rows of containers, and a total of more than 7,000 20-foot standard containers can be loaded. In addition, this type of ship can also be set up with 800 reefer container sockets, and the deck container placement adopts the mix-loading design, which can increase the weight of hatch cover and deck container stacking.
This type of vessel adopts low resistance linear design, with high-efficiency propeller and full-suspension twisted rudder and rudder ball, which greatly optimizes the rapidity, significantly saves fuel consumption and reduces carbon emission. It is worth mentioning that this type of vessel has realized the lightweight design of the whole vessel through the overall layout and optimization of structural design, which effectively reduces the empty vessel weight and significantly improves the loading capacity.
In terms of vibration and noise control, the whole ship vibration and noise is also controlled to an excellent level through the whole ship vibration and noise analysis, overall layout, source control, terminal absorption and other technical means, and the vibration and noise levels of the test values are significantly lower than the limits of the specifications and regulations.
“X-PRESS PISCES” is the second ship built by SWS in a remote location after the delivery of its sister ship “EA CHARA”. In order to explore the feasibility of remote shipbuilding business and fully tap market potential, SWS has formed a subsidiary team of elites to undertake the task of exploring new paths for remote shipbuilding.
The successful trial of remote shipbuilding business has laid a good foundation for SWS to further develop in the field of shipbuilding, accumulated valuable experience, and also trained a group of teams who are accomplished in shipbuilding and can win battles.
Following the completion of its annual completion and delivery targets ahead of schedule on November 6th, SWS continues to set new records for the year, having completed and delivered 23 high-quality Merchant vessels and offshore products.
