Greek shipowner Benelux Overseas has placed an order for two 48,000 m³ medium-sized gas carriers with CSSC Huangpu Wenchong shipyard at an undisclosed price, according to an outside source.
The first vessel will be delivered in October 2026 and the second will be delivered in the first half of 2027.
Benelux Overseas owns 10 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers and two handysize tankers, according to VesselsValue. In 2021, Benelux Overseas ordered two 40,000 m³ tankers from South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, with an option order for one more.
