CIMC Enrico Successfully Delivered the First 5500m2 Liquid Ammonia Storage Tank

On November 13th, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (CIMC SOE), a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, successfully delivered 5,500m3 liquid ammonia tanks (T135), including two 2,750m3 liquid ammonia tanks and one 40m3 liquid ammonia deck tank.

There are three main ways to transport liquid ammonia currently. The first is a medium-pressure tanker suitable for road transport, the maximum volume can be 49.82 cubic meters, the loading capacity of a single vehicle can reach 26 tons. The second is the liquid ammonia tanker for waterway transport, which can meet the requirements of modern transportation, highway, railroad, and door-to-door intermodal transport. The third is a liquid ammonia vessel for water transportation. As a zero-carbon energy source and an important carrier for hydrogen storage and transportation, liquid ammonia is expected to continue to grow in terms of production and trade volume.

Based on this, the liquid ammonia tanks built by CIMC SOE can not only transport liquid ammonia, but also liquefied petroleum gas, propane and other energy media in practical applications, which will help the liquid ammonia ship model become a new generation of zero-carbon transportation vessels in the future as the iconic green ship model.

It is reported that CIMC SOE is committed to the development of new markets and new products, with independent and autonomous liquid tank design, construction and project management capabilities, and can provide customers with customized marine liquid tanks, LNG fuel tanks and other professional product solutions.
