GSI Delivers 3rd 110,000 dwt Dual Fuel Tanker to VISTA

On October 31st, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI), a subsidiary of CSSC, together with CSTC, named and delivered the 110,000 dwt LNG dual fuel crude oil/products tanker No. 3 built for VISTA, a joint venture between CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited and Hafnia. The vessel will be used by Norway’s Statoil (Equinor) after delivery, and is the fifth tanker of this series built and delivered by GSIC.

As reported, the vessel is an upgraded LR II type LNG dual-fuel tanker independently developed, designed and built by GSI, and is also the dual-fuel powered tanker with the highest “configuration” in South China. The tanker is equipped with a variety of energy-saving devices on the basis of optimizing the ship’s line shape, as well as cargo oil heating management system and energy efficiency management system, which can provide scientific data support for the ship’s operation, maximize fuel and time savings, and has the features of fast speed, low energy consumption, and green environmental protection.

It is worth mentioning that during the construction process of the ship, GSI implemented the requirements of Modeling 2.0, which not only realized “zero closing” trial voyage, but also “zero closing” return voyage of the design, and finally realized the quality and efficiency of the vessel ” Double Harvest”.
