On April 24, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) signed the delivery contract of the 114,000 DWT Aframax product tanker “SEADANCER” built for Greece’s Thenamaris Company.
SEADANCER is the latest generation of Aframax tanker independently developed and designed by SWS. This series of ships has greatly improved the energy efficiency of the entire ship through comprehensive hydrodynamic performance optimization, configuration of hydrodynamic energy-saving ducts and vortex-eliminating fins, optimization of main engine selection and other measures. The EEDI indicators verified by actual ships have reached the third phase requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in 2025 ahead of schedule.
At the same time, the ship meets the Tier III requirements for NOx emission and the emission requirements for SOx emission, which is highly favored by the customers, and is an environmentally friendly, energy-saving, safe and economical green ship.
