On April 22nd, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng successfully delivered a 15,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel chemical tanker to the ship owner.
It is reported that the vessel has reserved a base for installing sails, and will be directly equipped with a sail-assisted propulsion system after returning to Europe, which can save energy by using wind power. Its methanol dual-fuel ready engine can use MGO, biofuel and methanol in the future, effectively reducing carbon emissions.
In addition, the vessel integrates Hybrid and shore power technologies, with intelligent power mode switching and EEDI energy efficiency indexes that are 40% lower than the 2025 Stage III standards, demonstrating the advantages of green shipping.
This delivery is an important achievement of China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng in the field of new energy vessels, which not only delivers a vessel with excellent performance and reliable quality to the ship owner, but also shows to the industry its professional strength and innovation in the whole process of research and development, construction and delivery of new energy vessels.
