DSID launches 4800DWT oil supply vessel for CNFC Overseas Fisheries

On April 23, CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industrial Development Co., Ltd. (DSID), successfully held a launching ceremony for the 4800DWT oil supply vessel built for CNFC Overseas Fisheries, marking the completion of the main project of the vessel and the official transition to the quay outfitting and system debugging stage.

The vessel is 98.38 meters in length, 15.80 meters in width, with a designed draft of 6.00 meters and a deadweight tonnage of 4,800 tons. It adopts a double-bottom double-hull steel structure and a stern engine layout design. It has the ability to navigate in unlimited areas and can adapt to complex global marine environments.

The vessel is designed for loading light diesel oil with flash point ≤60℃, and its operation area covers from Las Palmas, Spain to Sierra Leone, West Africa and its extension of 1,200 nautical miles, which is mainly to provide efficient fuel supply service for CNFC Overseas Fisheries’s ocean-going fishing vessels.

It is reported that after the vessel is officially put into operation, it will effectively enhance the operational support capabilities of CNFC Overseas Fisheries. In the next step, DSID will focus on key goals and make every effort to lay a solid foundation for the successful delivery of the first ship cooperation project between DSID and CNFC Overseas Fisheries, and inject new impetus into the sustainable development of the marine economy.
