CSSC 712 R&D Institute Secures CCS Certification for Breakthrough Marine Fuel Cell Modules

Recently, two marine fuel cell power generation modules independently developed by CSSC 712 R&D Institute have been awarded type approval certificates by China Classification Society (CCS).

This module is based on the fuel cell stack technology independently developed by the CSSC 712 R&D Institute. It has passed dozens of tests such as vibration, tilt and sway, high and low temperature environments, adapting to the complex working conditions of the ship, and have the advantages of high efficiency, zero emission, low noise, etc.

Based on a fuel cell power generation module type approval certificate obtained earlier, plus the two marine fuel cell power generation modules this time, marking that the CSSC 712 R&D Institute has obtained the CCS type approval for the marine fuel cell power generation module series products. Through the above basic modular combination, it can form a marine fuel cell system product covering 70kW to megawatt level, meeting the zero-carbon power needs of various large, medium and small green ships.

This certification is not only a “pass” for the market application of marine fuel cell technology, but also a core engine for breaking through market barriers, promoting green transformation, and enhancing competitiveness, injecting strong impetus into the high-end and low-carbon development of the shipbuilding industry.
