On April 15, the second vessel in the series of 7,800 CEU LNG dual-fuel ocean-going PCTC (pure car and track carrier) built by CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard for Anji Logistics Co., Ltd. was officially named “Anji Dexin” and was signed and delivered on the same day.
Classed by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and China Classification Society (CCS), the PCTC is designed with an overall length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 38 meters, a depth of 15.5 meters, a structural draft of 10.2 meters and a service speed of 19 knots. This series of vessels are designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI) and constructed by Jiangnan Shipyard, which owns completely independent intellectual property rights.
It is worth noting that the core key equipment of “Anji Dexin” – the main engine WinGD 7X62DF2.1 and iCER system, LNG enclosure and gas supply system and ro-ro equipment system are all produced from the companies of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), and the core equipment of the project has a high rate of localization and autonomy.
This PCTC is a milestone in the history of the construction of large automobile carriers in China, and it truly realizes the “national shipbuilding, national vehicle and national transportation” of China’s automobile industry in ocean transportation.
