Taizhou Zhonghang Shipbuilding launchs 62,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessel

Recently, with the careful escort of Taizhou Maritime Safety Administration’s Haixun 06509, Haixun 06511 and three high-horsepower tugboats, Taizhou’s largest deadweight tonnage multi-purpose heavy lift vessel “TK2310” was successfully launched.

It is reported that the vessel “TK2310” built by Taizhou Zhonghang Shipbuilding has a deadweight tonnage of 62,000 tons, a length of 199.90 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, 5 large-opening cargo holds and 4 heavy cranes on the side.

The maximum lifting capacity of the combined cranes is 300 tons. It can flexibly load large equipment of various sizes. The emission control of nitrogen sulfides and other emissions meets the latest emission requirements. This type of ship has been selected into the “World’s Significant Ships of 2021” of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects of the United Kingdom.

There are a total of six vessels ordered for this ship type, and the “TK2310” is the third vessel of this ship type, which was kicked off construction on July 29, 2024 and launched on January 23, 2025, with a docking period of 65 days, and is expected to be completed and delivered on July 3rd.
