On April 10th, the world’s first offshore mobile oilfield measures platform, “Zengchan No. 1”, kicked off construction in Qingdao, Shandong Province.
This mobile oilfield measure platform is designed and built by Cnooc Energy Technology&Services Limited(hereinafter referred to as CNOOC). Its construction marks the beginning of the substantive construction phase of the world’s first mobile offshore oilfield measures platform, opening up a new path for the large-scale and efficient development of offshore oil and gas fields in the mid- and late-stages, and effectively safeguarding national energy security.
“Zengchan No. 1” that has commenced construction this time can provide a variety of operation services for the Bohai Oilfield, including heavy oil thermal recovery, acidizing, fracturing, etc. It is an important achievement in practicing the development goals of “high-end, intelligent, green and low-carbon”.
The platform adopts international leading design concepts and integrates a number of innovative technologies. For the first time, the platform adopts a column-type multi-layer piling system, which improves the platform towing and positioning efficiency by 15%. At the same time, a customized AI large model is introduced for the first time for localized deployment. With the help of digital twin technology, the platform’s personnel, equipment, energy consumption and production process are dynamically perceived and monitored in all directions and at all times, so as to analyze, judge and predict potential risks in advance and realize intelligent management.
“Zengchan No. 1” will be completed and delivered in 2026. After the platform is put into operation, it will not only support conventional production of offshore oil fields, but also carry out production increase measures such as mobile heat injection, fracturing, acidizing, profile control, and heavy oil thermal recovery, effectively meeting the needs of various production increase operations in offshore oil fields, which is of great significance to the mid- and late-stage development and exploitation of offshore oil and gas fields.
