In April 2025, CSSC Power (Group) Corporation Ltd. (CPGC), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), officially delivered two self-branded engines – 5X72DF-2.1 dual-fuel low-speed engine and 6ML320DF dual-fuel medium-speed engine – marking that CPGC has become China’s first enterprise to produce marine engines with a cumulative power exceeding 100 million horsepower.
Back in 1958, when the 6ESDZ43/82 low-speed marine diesel engine independently developed by CPGC made its first roar, it not only announced a breakthrough in the “zero” domestic ship power, but also a declaration of self-improvement for a national industry spanning six decades.
Standing on the new starting point of 100 million horsepower, CPGC will continue to improve its enterprise value creation capability, accelerate the development of high-end, intelligent and green power industry, and continue to promote the transformation of traditional manufacturing to green and intelligent manufacturing. Also, CPGC will also transform from a domestic leader to a world-class leader, writing a new chapter of anchoring new quality productivity and creating green new power.
