CSSC’s Beihai Shipbuilding Delivers 13th 210,000 DWT Bulk Carrier to CMB.TECH

On April 10th, Beihai Shipbuilding under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) together with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) successfully delivered the 13th 210,000 DWT bulk carrier “MINERAL SUOMI” to Belgium’s CMB.TECH.

Classed by Lloyd’s Register, the vessel was well-designed by China Ship Design & Research Center Co., Ltd, (CSDC), with a total length of nearly 300 meters, a beam of 50 meters, a depth of 25.2 meters.

The trial data showed that its key indicators such as speed, fuel consumption and maneuverability were better than the contract requirements. At the same time, it met the IMO Tier Ⅲ emission standards and was highly recognized and praised by the shipowner CMB.TECH.

It is reported that the delivery of the bulk carrier MINERAL SUOMI not only provides energy-saving, environmentally friendly and highly efficient capacity support for CMB.TECH, but also further consolidates the leading position of Beihai Shipbuilding in the global market of large bulk carriers.
