On April 3, Hengli Heavy Industries held a naming ceremony for an 82,000 DWT bulk carrier, officially kicking off the concentrated delivery of new ships in the second quarter.
At Hengli Heavy Industries Industrial Park’s No.1 outfitting Wharf, six new ships are neatly aligned, marking the first achievement of full single-row berth occupancy.
The ship is named “RAPHAEL” and owned by Vogemann of Germany. As the fifth ship of the same type delivered in the past six months, all performance indexes of the ship have also reached the international advanced level. The ship was completed and delivered in only 10 days after returning from the sea trial, marking the continuous improvement of Hengli Heavy Industries’ construction level and construction speed.
In the past quarter, the production efficiency of Hengli Heavy Industries’ “Marine Factory” has been improved continuously, and the construction of “Future Factory” has been accelerated, showing a hotter development momentum. Especially in the past half month, the production site has been extremely busy, with 4 ships being laid keel, 3 ships being launched, 1 ship being put on sea trial, and 1 ship being delivered.
At present, the first 306,000 DWT VLCC at the No. 3 outfitting Wharf has entered the final sprint stage before the sea trial; the main hull of the first 181,000 DWT bulk carrier at the No. 1 slipway has taken shape; the newly installed 1,000-ton gantry crane at the No. 1 dock is making every effort to sprint towards the completion and acceptance target; in the engine assembly workshop, 6 marine engines are assembled synchronously; a batch of finished engines are prepared for delivery…
This coordinated progress demonstrates Hengli Heavy Industry’s integrated operational capabilities, with all production divisions and business units advancing in parallel to achieve their respective milestones.
Hengli Heavy Industries expressed that it will focus on high value-added green ships such as very large crude carriers (VLCC), ultra-large container ships, ultra-low temperature ships, LNG carriers etc.. The company will innovate in design and lean construction to make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry and the construction of a strong shipbuilding and maritime nation.
