Jiangsu Qinfeng Shipbuilding Receives Order for 1+5 1138TEU Container Vessels

Recently, Jiangsu Qinfeng Shipbuilding signed an order for 1+5 specific route 1138TEU LNG-powered container vessels with Jiangsu Green Navigation Logistics.

As previously reported, in September 2024, Qinfeng Shipbuilding signed a contract for the construction of 16 methanol single-fuel river sea direct vessels of two types with Wuhan Innovation River-Sea Transportation Co. This order is the first time that Qinfeng Shipbuilding to build methanol-fueled vessels.

Founded in 2007, Jiangsu Qinfeng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. covers an area of 600,000 square meters, with 1,200 meters of shoreline. The company has 10 slipways ranging from 20,000 tons to less than 100,000 tons, 110,000 square meters of segment operation area, 130,000 square meters of stacking area, 5,000 square meters of coating workshop, 50,000 square meters of comprehensive workshop, 6,000 square meters of comprehensive warehouse, and 1 gas station. It has the production capacity of building all kinds of ships under 100,000 tons with an annual output of 500,000 DWT.

Qinfeng Shipbuilding has built hundreds of bulk carriers, container vessels, deck cargo vessels and other engineering vessels since it was put into operation. At present, the company has more than 30 vessels under construction, with a total deadweight tonnage of about 250,000 tons, and the largest tonnage under construction is 82,000 DWT French BV-class bulk carriers.
