Fujian’s First Marine Ecological Environment Monitoring and Law Enforcement Vessel Completes Trial Voyage

From March 21 to 23, the marine ecological environment monitoring, surveying and law enforcement vessel “Zhongguo Huanjianmin 001” successfully completed its sea trial. All performance indicators met the design requirements. The vessel was designed by Guangzhou Marine Engineering Corporation (GUMECO) for the Xiamen Environmental Monitoring Center in Fujian Province.

Classed by China Classification Society (CCS), it is the first marine ecological environment monitoring and survey vessel in Fujian, with an overall length of 55.2 meters, a beam of 10.3 meters, a full-load displacement of 960 tons and a navigation area of domestic offshore area.

The vessel is mainly used for marine ecological environment monitoring and investigation operations within the sea area under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province. It provides near-shore integrated marine environmental monitoring and fidelity sampling and partial on-site analysis capabilities. It is a multi-functional vessel that integrates marine environmental monitoring, environmental emergency response, environmental law enforcement, investigation and scientific research, popular science propaganda, and patriotism education base.
