On March 25, Ningbo Ocean Shipping released its 2024 Annual Report.
The report disclosed that in 2024, Ningbo Ocean Shipping achieved operating income of RMB 5.272 billion (approximately US$726 million), a year-on-year increase of 17.95%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 554 million (approximately US$76 million), a year-on-year increase of 9.86%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was RMB 524 million (approximately US$72 million), a year-on-year increase of 14.30%; basic earnings per share was RMB 0.42.
Ningbo Ocean Shipping’s 2024 distribution plan is: to pay a cash dividend of RMB 1.27 (including tax) per 10 shares to all shareholders, with a total cash dividend of RMB 166 million (including tax).

In 2024, Ningbo Ocean Shipping increased its annual container transportation volume to 5.13 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 14.5%, by optimizing route layout, innovating transportation service models, and ensuring the smooth operation of key projects, demonstrating the company’s strong market influence and service capabilities. Bulk cargo transportation business also achieved good growth, with a total of 25.884 million tons of bulk cargo business completed throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%, further expanding the company’s business scope and market share.
As of the end of the reporting period, Ningbo Ocean Shipping ranked 23rd on the list of the world’s top 100 container liner companies in terms of capacity according to Alphaliner, and was the largest container liner enterprise in Zhejiang Province. The company operates a total of 100 ships, forming a fleet with gradient complementarity and excellent comprehensive performance, ensuring the efficiency and stability of route operation schedules.
In addition, Ningbo Ocean Shipping actively contributed to the development of green shipping by promoting the application of green emission reduction and ship intelligence technology. By 2025, the company plans to complete container transportation volume of 5.65 million TEUs and bulk cargo business volume of 26.2 million tons.
