CMJL (Weihai) Delivers Fifth EPS 7,000 CEU Dual-Fuel PCTC Ahead of Schedule

On March 24, China Merchants Jingling Shipyard (Weihai) Co. Ltd. (“CMJL (Weihai)”) delivered the fifth 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC (pure car and track carrier) built for EPS ahead of schedule.

It is understood that the vessel is 199.9 meters long, 38 meters wide, with a design draft of 8.6 meters and a speed of 19 knots. Equipped with 12 vehicle decks, the vessel can load 7,000 family cars and the vehicle decks are divided into fixed and movable types, which greatly improves the cargo loading and unloading efficiency and the economic benefits of vessel operation.

In terms of environmental protection, the ship is equipped with an advanced high-pressure dual-fuel system, two 2,000 cubic meter LNG gas tanks, a shaft generator and a lithium battery hybrid propulsion system, and adopts a number of environmental protection technologies.

Therefore, it can significantly reduce the emission of sulfur oxides, particulate matter and carbon, meet the TIER Ⅲ emission standards of the International Maritime Organization, and has the advantages of economy, energy saving, environmental protection and high efficiency.
