On March 21st, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) named and delivered GREEN BRAZIL, a 77,000 DWT multi-purpose pulp vessel built for BOCOM Chartering. Ms. Silvia Theophilo de Aguiar de Abreu named the vessel and threw a champagne salute.
“GREEN BRAZIL” has an overall length of 225 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 21 meters, a design speed of 15 knots and a range of 25,000 nautical miles.
The cargo hold is well sealed and dry, which can fully guarantee the quality and safety of pulp cargo transportation. The vessel has upgraded the function of “foldable commercial vehicle special frame”, and added a “one-to-one” temperature monitoring and warning system for new energy vehicles, which can safely transport new energy vehicles while safely and high-quality transporting imported pulp, helping new energy vehicles to “go to sea in large quantities”.
The pollutant NOx emissions of this series of vessels meet the highest requirements of international conventions (Tier III), the vibration and noise meet the requirements of the Green Ecological Ship Code (GESC) of China Classification Society (CCS) which has come into effect recently, and the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) of the vessels is far more than the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Phase III.
