On March 15, CSSC Tianjin Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (DSIC), held a groundbreaking ceremony for the outfitting parts manufacturing base. Zhu Ping, Party Secretary and Chairman of CSSC Tianjin Shipbuilding, and Li Ange, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager, attended the ceremony and cut the ribbon for the new base.
The base covers an area of 88,000 square meters and has three large structural workshops, including machining workshop, riveting and welding workshop and coating and heat treatment workshop. When fully put into operation, it is expected that the monthly production capacity will reach 1,000 tons and the annual production capacity will reach 12,000 tons.
In order to accelerate the opening of the new base and meet the demand of outfitting parts production, the cadres and workers of CSIC Tianjin set up a special working group to coordinate and promote the work of equipment overhaul, personnel coordination, safety management, etc., and restored the production workshop’s infrastructure of power, lighting, electricity, lifting, etc., so as to make the workshop with production capacity, and met the conditions for starting construction in just 30 days.
The official opening of the outfitting parts manufacturing base not only provides a strong guarantee for the production work, but also is another expansion and addition to the production scale of CSSC Tianjin Shipbuilding.
