China’s First 110-Meter Rotary Piling Vessel “San Hang Zhuang 22” Makes Successful Debut at Taizhou Bay Project

On March 12, the first 110-meter rotary piling vessel “San Hang Zhuang 22”,which independently developed by CCCC Third Harbour Engineering, successfully laid the first 82-meter steel pipe pile at the Taizhou Bay Land-Island Integrated Terminal Project, completing its first operational debut.

The “San Hang Zhuang 22” vessel has a total length of 99 meters, a beam of 34 meters, a depth of 7.2 meters, a full-load design draft of 4 meters and a pile frame height of 110 meters, which can meet the requirements for driving piles with a weight of 150 tons.

As a new-generation piling vessel, the “San Hang Zhuang 22” is engineered for environmental protection, energy efficiency, and reduced fuel consumption. It supports 360-degree equipment rotation, allowing precise positioning and agile operations. Its advanced design ensures highly accurate pile alignment, making it ideal for offshore, coastal, and sheltered waters. The vessel is also equipped for unmanned towing and dispatch operations in international nearshore navigation zones, meeting stringent operational standards.

With its precise positioning and mooring capabilities, the vessel streamlines the pile-driving process, delivering greater efficiency than traditional methods. Its ability to adjust the piling sequence on demand further enhances construction productivity, setting a new benchmark for modern piling operations.

The high-quality debut of “San Hang Zhuang 22” has filled the gap in China’s rotary piling vessel field, demonstrated that the CCCC Third Harbour Engineering’s offshore vessel pile-driving capabilities have reached a new height, and also provided strong support for strengthening, optimizing and expanding China’s deep-sea water conservancy project construction and offshore wind power industry chain construction.
