Chongqing Zhonghong Shipping and Hunan Jinhang Shipbuilding Sign Contract for 130-Meter LNG-Fueled Multi-Purpose Vessel

On March 6, China Shipbuilding and Shipping Company Chongqing Zhonghong Shipping and its compatriot shipbuilder Hunan Jinhang Shipbuilding formally signed a contract for a 130-meter LNG-fueled collection and distribution multi-purpose vessel.

It is understood that the vessel is a single-fuel LNG-powered collection and distribution multi-purpose vessel, with an overall length of 130 meters, a beam of 16.26 meters and a depth of 7.2 meters, capable of carrying a maximum load of 10,434 tons.

The vessel features a vertical bow and is a new energy vessel with the engine room located at the stern. It is equipped with twin engines and twin propellers, an LNG power system and high-efficiency engines, using LNG as fuel. This significantly reduces the emission of harmful substances (including sulfides, particulate matter, and carbon dioxide, among others), boasts high energy efficiency, and achieves greater transportation efficiency and lower operational costs.

This vessel effectively protects the ecological environment and complies with the national green shipping standards of high environmental protection and energy efficiency, making it a new favorite in the shipping industry.

According to official website information, Hunan Jinhang Shipbuilding is located in the Shipbuilding Town of Yuanjiang City, Hunan Province. The company covers an area of over 100,000 square meters and has an annual shipbuilding capacity of 200,000 deadweight tons. It holds production and construction qualifications for coastal and inland Class I Type II steel ships, Class II aluminum ships, and Class B ship design. It is a large-scale integrated shipbuilding enterprise specializing in the design and manufacturing of new energy vessels, various steel ships, new composite material ships, yachts, passenger ships, and related products.
