On 2nd March, Sanfu Shipbuilding successfully launched the 4th 3500TEU dual-fuel (LNG+MGO) container ship for a German ship owner at the company’s slipway.
This series of 3,500 TEU dual-fuel container ship is designed by Germany HB HUNTE design company with bow type design. Classed by DNV, the ship has an overall length of 248.00 metres, a beam of 35.20 metres, a design draft of 11.00 metres, a maximum deadweight of 51,000 tonnes and a design speed of 19.5 knots.
The ship’s main fuel is LNG and MGO (MARINE GAS OIL), and it adopts vertical LNG tanks. The ship can carry more than 1,000 reefer containers and is equipped with a reefer monitoring system. Its EEDI index meets and exceeds the current industry standard, and its environmental performance is far beyond that of its peers.
According to the statistics, Sanfu Shipbuilding has delivered 3 ships of this series, and the overall performance has been verified by the market, and gained the high praise from the shipowners for its many excellent features of high efficiency and energy saving, green environmental protection.
