CMJL Yangzhou delivers a 16,300 DWT LNG dual-fuel chemical tanker ahead of schedule

On February 25th, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Yangzhou (“CMJL Yangzhou”) successfully delivered a 16,300 DWT LNG dual-fuel chemical tanker 10 days ahead of schedule.

The vessel is designed to be forward-looking and practical, not only capable of carrying IMO Category 2 and IMO Category 3 chemicals and oil, but also with 1A ice strengthening capability, which is adaptable to the complex and changeable sailing environment. At the same time, it meets the strict requirements of IMO Tier III for NOx and Sulfur Emission Control Area (SECA) sulfide emissions.

In particular, with the advanced LNG dual-fuel system design, this vessel realizes ultra-low emission of SOx and solid particulate matter, which is almost close to zero, 80% reduction of NOx and half of CO2, which makes it highly competitive in the global shipping market with its excellent performance of green, environmental protection, high efficiency, energy-saving and safety.

The early delivery of this vessel lays a solid foundation for CMJL Yangzhou’s full-year production value target. Up to now, CMJL Yangzhou has successfully delivered 2 vessels in 2025 with its order book covering all types of green energy vessels of LNG dual-fuel, methanol dual-fuel and liquid ammonia dual-fuel, and the company is making every effort to rush into the global high-end chemical market.
