According to Nantong Maritime News, the FPSO “B382” module, constructed by Seatrium Nantong Heavy Industry, was successfully loaded onto the heavy-lift vessel “Hanhang Dajian” and safely departed from Seatrium Nantong Heavy Industry’s dock and was sent to Indonesia.
It is reported that the “Hanhang Dajian” vessel involved in this loading operation is 147.6 meters in length and 40.2 meters in width. The module components loaded during this voyage are characterized by their multifunctionality, complex structure, and high levels of integration and precision.
The scale of the FPSO offshore module exceeds the standards for ordinary heavy-lift cargo, imposing higher requirements on environmental factors, technical specifications, construction operations, and overall coordination management for tasks such as waterway supervision, vessel monitoring, module transportation, ro-ro loading, and subsequent securing.
Notably, Seatrium Heavy Industry Terminal is located within the dedicated channel of Nantong Port, which is only 150 meters wide. The channel sees frequent vessel traffic and passes through key areas such as the Tongsha Ferry and the mouth of the Tonglv River, making the navigation environment particularly complex.
Given these factors, the Nantong maritime authorities conducted thorough analysis and evaluation, actively communicated with the company and the transport firm, and established a “green channel” on the water for this shipment. This ensured the safe and smooth transportation of the offshore module, guaranteed the timeline for maritime transport, and laid a solid foundation for the successful delivery of the module.
