Beihai Shipbuilding steel cut for two 210,000 DWT bulk carriers

On February 17th, China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s Beihai Shipbuilding held a steel cutting ceremony for the construction of two 210,000 DWT bulk carriers (hull numbers are 46 and 55) built for Belgium’s CMB.

It is reported that the two vessels started construction this time are the third batch of vessels in CMB’s “210,000 DWT ammonia dual-fuel bulk carrier” project.

The vessel has an overall length of 300 meters, a depth of 25.2 meters, a structural draft of 18.4 meters, a service speed of 14.5 knots and a deadweight of 209,800 tons. It adopts Win GD 6X72DF-A-1.0 dual-fuel engine, which has the highlights of intelligent safety, green environmental protection, low energy consumption and large load capacity.
