On February 14, a 63,500 DWT bulk carrier built by Jiangsu SOHO Marine Heavy Industry for Xianghang Shipping successfully launched at the shipyard, marking a significant milestone in the vessel’s construction. This achievement set a new record for the largest tonnage of a vessel ever built on the slipway at Jiangsu SOHO Marine Heavy Industry, enhancing the shipyard’s resource utilization efficiency.
This vessel is the second 63,500DWT bulk carrier ordered by Xianghai Shipping. Classed by CCS, its design deadweight is 63,500 tons with length of 199.9 meters, beam of 32.26 meters and a design draught of 13.5 meters.
