Recently, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), has successfully declared the inspection of the world’s first NO.96 SUPER+ enclosure system’s first main membrane built on the first fifth-generation LNG ship with zero leakage point.
NO.96 SUPER+ Enclosure System, with a new design of insulated panels and connectors, has a low daily evaporation rate of 0.085% for the entire vessel, which is previously the world’s most advanced film-based enclosure system.
It is said that since the beginning of 2022, the LNG project team of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has been working on the construction technology for the new enclosure system.
