Norwegian BOA has announced that it has signed a contract with Dalian Shipbuilding Offshore Co. (DSOC) for the construction of our in-house designed BOABARGE 39 and BOABARGE 40 (optional).
This milestone marks a significant step forward in BOA’s commitment to expanding its fleet to meet future market requirements. Delivery of BOABARGE 39 is expected in Q3 2026.
The vessel boasts impressive key features, including dimensions of 166 x 73.38 x 9.15 meters and a submerging capacity that allows for 22.5 meters of water above the deck. It has a heavy cargo capacity of approximately 57,500 tons and an extreme deck strength of 35 tons per square meter. The ballast pump capacity is 22,500 cubic meters per hour. For enhanced stability and flexibility, the vessel is equipped with 4 removable flotation towers. Additionally, it features a hybrid power system that integrates solar energy, batteries, generators, and shore power, optimizing energy efficiency.
The new BOABARGE 39/40, with its versatile design and unique features, is engineered to support a wide range of operations across multiple industries and to meet the highest industry standards. Its capabilities make it ideal for load-out and float-off operations, heavy-load transportation, drydocking, salvage operations, and decommissioning projects. This latest addition to the BOA fleet further strengthens the company’s position across key industry sectors, reinforcing BOA’s reputation as a trusted and reliable partner for complex marine and offshore operations.
