According to Xingfu Huaiyin Media, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new energy ship green manufacturing base project of Jiangsu Kaitai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry was held on February 9th.
It is reported that since the project was signed, it took only thirty days from the signing to land acquisition, successfully completing all preparatory work before the start of construction.
It is reported that the project has a total investment of RMB 1.008 billion and covers an area of approximately 118 mu. Upon full completion and reaching production capacity, it is expected to produce about 100 new energy and special ships annually, with a total deadweight tonnage of 120,000 tons, including approximately 30 ships for foreign trade export. Additionally, the facility will repair and dismantle around 500 ships each year. The projected annual output value is 600 RMB million, including RMB 200 million from foreign trade exports, with annual tax contributions exceeding RMB 15 million.
Established on April 30, 2024, Jiangsu Kaitai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry’s main business includes shipbuilding, repairing and dismantling of ships, as well as research and development and production of related equipment. Its business also involves the design, manufacture and export of new energy ships, with a particular focus on environmentally friendly and energy-saving ships. In addition, it may also be engaged in foreign export business, including the export of new energy and specialized ships.
