CANDLER Schiffahrt GmbH contracts for two additional 12,000T multi-purpose cargo vessels with New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding

Following the successful signing of a contract for a 135-meter duplex stainless steel chemical tanker with Dutch shipowner MERCURIUS on January 14, 2025, Jiangxi New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding”) has signed a contract with German shipowner CANDLER Schiffahrt GmbH on January 15, 2025, for the construction of two 12,000-ton multi-purpose cargo vessels.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Bremen, Germany, CANDLER Schiffahrt GmbH is a traditional family-owned shipping company. With over three decades of expertise in the breakbulk cargo maritime transport sector, the company has grown into a professional and trustworthy industry benchmark. Its business footprint spans the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Africa, South America, and the Caribbean regions.

Since March 31, 2024, when the two parties first signed the contract for four 12,000T multi-purpose cargo vessels, New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding has been fully committed to the project. During the shipbuilding process, the shipbuilder has strictly controlled the quality barrier, and at the same time, by virtue of the efficient management system and sufficient production capacity guarantee, there has never been the slightest delay in the production node, which has won the customer’s praise.

It is based on the full confidence in the quality of shipbuilding and delivery guarantee of New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding, CANDLER Schiffahrt GmbH decisively placed an additional order, which marks the further deepening of the business cooperation between the two parties.
