On January 23rd, the first ready for commissioning certificate (RFCC) for the domestically-built large cruise ship H1509, constructed by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS), was successfully signed. This milestone signifies that the H1509 ship has moved from preliminary construction and outfitting to a new stage of system completion and commissioning. It marks the beginning of the efficient and high-quality completion of annual commissioning tasks for 2025.
It is reported that the first RFCC is for the engine room ventilation system commissioning package (RFCC0135), involving mechanical fans, air dampers, combined starter panels, ductwork, and structural air ducts spanning six decks. The entire commissioning package includes 15 ITR (Inspection Test Record) documents, requiring coordination among multiple departments. As a connection point between equipment installation and system commissioning, the RFCC plays a crucial linking role.
The overall progress of the RFCC work on the H1509 ship is currently smooth, and efforts should continue to ensure the quality of this work. After the commissioning begins, it is necessary to continuously enhance system-level thinking and team building, closely revolve around the RFCC plan and the four-level commissioning plan to carry out relevant coordination work, and balance the commissioning plan with the interior installation plan.
It is also important to manage commissioning hours and personnel allocation effectively, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. The system manager’s work should interact with design and quality assurance to establish standards and processes.
