On January 18th, Central China Regional Headquarters of San Dian Shui New Energy Technology, a subsidiary of Wuhu Shipyard, was officially inaugurated in Wuhan Jingkai District. At the ceremony, San Dian Shui New Energy signed contracts for twelve 10,000-ton LNG bulk carriers with Wuhan Yongliang Shipping, Hubei Guotong Shipping and Hubei Delai Shipping.
San Dian Shui New Energy Technology is a strategic enterprise of inland offshore new energy vessels of Wuhu Shipyard with deep industrial background. Focusing on the goal of electrifying the Yangtze River, it takes the lead in laying out the market in the middle reaches of the Changjiang River. San Dian Shui New Energy Technology established its national headquarters in Wuhu City, Anhui Province, focusing on deepening its presence in the East China regional market. It has currently established green and intelligent ship industry bases in Wuhu City and Chizhou City; it set up its Central China regional headquarters in Wuhan City, deepening its presence in the “Two Lakes and One River in Sichuan and Chongqing” market, and has currently established the Wuhan Channel Shipyard Manufacturing Base; in the future, it will also establish a South China regional headquarters to deepen its presence in the Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan markets, thereby completing the goal of full coverage of the southern water market.
According to reports, the Central China Regional Headquarters of San Dian Shui New Energy Technology is based in Wuhan and radiates throughout the Central China region. It is planned to be constructed as a functional system integrating five aspects: high-end equipment innovation and research and development, intelligent manufacturing, shipping finance, industrial support, and supply chain services in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It will also be combined with the new energy vehicle industry chain in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, to promote the popularization and promotion of the ‘ship, vehicle, storage’ model in the Central China region, and to assist the integrated development of the ship-vehicle-storage industry in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The signing of 12 10,000-ton LNG bulk carriers is the first batch order for San Dian Shui New Energy Technology’s regional headquarters in central China. These ships will be used in the Yangzi River shipping trade, and at the same time, they have an important demonstration effect and profound revelation on the application scenario research, product R&D, manufacturing, supply chain model, and the development of industry chain ecology of the green standard ship type of the Yangzi River.
In the future, the regional headquarters in central China will strive to build into a national first-class industrial chain element integrator, ship design, intelligent manufacturer and supply chain service provider, and set up a benchmark enterprise for the high-quality development of high-end equipment manufacturing in the Yangzi River Economic Belt.
