On January 16, Jiangsu Dayang Marine Equipment (DYOE), a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), held a signing and delivery ceremony for the fifth 9,000DWT multi-purpose vessel “ECO TRINITY” built for Germany’s Briese.
It is understood that the 9000DWT multi-purpose vessel is designed with a length of 132.78 meters, a beam of 17.60 meters, a speed of 13.0 knots, and is classed by BV. In addition to the conventional configuration, it also adopts advanced shaft generator and CPP adjustable propeller system, which has many excellent characteristics of high efficiency and energy saving, green environment protection.
Meanwhile, the vessel is designed with a single extra-large cargo hold design, can sail openly, and is equipped with main deck hatch covers and second deck hatch covers, which can flexibly load and accommodate a variety of cargoes. And it can load the transportation of super-heavy, oversized and super-high cargoes, which enhances the shipowner’s ability to solicit cargoes and has obvious competitive advantages in the market.
