CMHI Haimen shipyard Delivers a High-End Cruise Ship

On January 16, the delivery ceremony of the high-end Bay Area cruise ship “Dawanqu Yidun” built by China Merchants Heavy Industries Haimen shipyard (CMHI Haimen shipyard) was grandly held at the Shekou Cruise Home Port.

The “Dawanqu No.1” and “Dawanqu No.2”, which were successfully delivered by the CMHI Haimen shipyard before, have achieved new performance records under the careful operation of China Merchants Cruise Lines. The brand influence of “See the Bay Area from the Sea” continues to expand, and the “Bay Area Sea Tour” was successfully selected as “China’s first batch of typical cases of integrated development of transportation and tourism” in 2023.

The “Dawanqu Yidun” cruise ship is the sister ship of the “Dawanqu No. 2” cruise ship, and its conceptual design, artistic design, and interior arrangement have been optimized and upgraded based on the “Dawanqu No. 2” in various aspects.

The ship’s DC networked electric propulsion system and ship intelligent system were independently developed by China Merchants Industrial Intelligent Technology, marking another solid step forward for China Merchants Industry in the power system and intelligent operation and maintenance. The aluminum alloy superstructure was built by China Merchants New Materials, which achieved the interconnection of the group’s upstream and downstream industrial chains and greatly reduced the cost of building the entire ship.
