Nantong Zhenhua Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Completes 5000-Ton Revolving Derrick Barge for Guangzhou Salvage Bureau

On January 10th, Nantong Zhenhua Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (ZPMC), held a completion and witnessing signing ceremony for the 5000-ton self-propelled revolving derrick barge “Hua Zhaolong”, which was constructed for the Guangzhou Salvage Bureau. The completion of this key milestone marks the official completion and delivery of the project.

It is understood that “Hua Zhaolong” is 195 meters long, 49.8 meters wide, 16 meters deep, with a gross weight of about 52,150 tons. The vessel is a steel, fully welded, self-propelled revolving derrick barge with long-distance self-navigation capabilities. It is equipped with 8 positioning winches and can perform anchoring and positioning operations in specified sea conditions with water depths less than 100 meters. The vessel is primarily used for offshore wind power pile foundation construction (including jackets), booster station installations, and the installation of large offshore components.

Meanwhile, the vessel has DP2 power positioning and anchoring positioning capabilities, allowing it to navigate in international unrestricted waters. It meets Tier III emission requirements, is classed by CCS, and flies the Chinese flag. Upon delivery, it will contribute to China’s efforts to achieve the “dual carbon” goals as soon as possible.
