According to the release of Changxing Island, recently, the Liaoning Provincial Port Office jointly with the Dalian City Port Office, Dalian Customs, Liaoning Maritime Bureau, Liaoning Entry-Exit Border Inspection Terminal composed of acceptance group, completed the acceptance of Hengli Heavy Industry Group 5 berths, agreed to berths formally open to the public to open.

The acceptance team believes that the port inspection infrastructure and supporting facilities have been built and are in compliance with the “National Port Inspection Infrastructure Construction Standards”, the inspection equipment is in place, and the inspection personnel are able to undertake inspection tasks. It agrees that the five berths of Hengli Heavy Industry Group are open to the public and have passed the acceptance.
The berths accepted this time include 2 slipway berths, 2 outfitting berths and 1 bulk cargo berth, with berth tonnage ranging from 3,000 tons to 100,000 tons. After the opening of this batch of berths, the port’s opening level and comprehensive service capabilities of Changxing Island will be effectively improved.
In September 2023, 11 berths of Hengli Heavy Industry Group were opened to the outside world. With the recent five berths passing the acceptance, at present, the port production facilities in the former STX area of Hengli Heavy Industry have all realized the opening of ports.
The opening of ports is of far-reaching significance to the development of enterprises. It can take on more foreign orders and import steel plates, raw materials, etc. from abroad, which is conducive to further expanding market share, reducing operating costs, and promoting better and faster development of enterprises.
So far, a total of 49 berths have been opened in Changxing Island District, and all the completed production berths have been opened. Urban Management And Law Enforcement said that the next step, will actively coordinate with the Liaoning Provincial and Municipal Ports Department, to promote the first cargo berth in the West Central Island as soon as possible to realize the opening of ports. Meanwhile, the port opening entities are required to further strengthen the day-to-day management, in-depth implementation of security responsibilities to ensure the safe and smooth flow of the port.
