On January 9, CIMC Raffles, a subsidiary of CIMC Group, hosted a naming ceremony for Electric Star and Green Star, two 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTCs, built for the Greek shipping company Atlas Maritime.
It is understood that the two vessels named this time are important members of the series of 7,000 CEU PCTCs built by CIMC Raffles for Atlas Maritime. With an overall length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 38 meters, a design draft of 8.6 meters and a design speed of 19 knots, the vessels have 7,000 standard parking spaces and are capable of adapting to the demands of diversified routes.
Meanwhile, equipped with green and clean liquefied natural gas (LNG) power system, it can significantly reduce the emission of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx), and is a new generation of environmentally friendly ships. In addition, this series of PCTCs have realized a number of technological innovations and major breakthroughs, and the quality and construction period can be guaranteed.
