Recently, Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding delivered 3612m³ LPG carrier “Tianen 9”, which was developed and designed by Wuhan Changjiang Ship Design Institute for Hubei Tianen Petrochemical Gas Transportation Company Limited, and audited by CCS Wuhan Audit and Drawing Center.

“Tian’en 9” is an inland normal temperature full-pressure LPG special-purpose carrier, which can carry a variety of LPG goods with temperatures of -10℃ to 45℃, including propylene, propane, pentane, pentene, dimethyl ether, mixed C4 goods, etc., basically covering all circulating liquid goods on the market.

By adopting many key technologies such as energy-saving line development and lightweight structure, the vessel has reached the requirements of “Energy Efficiency Design-1” in CCS “Green Ship Code for Inland Waterways”. By adopting a number of environmental protection measures, vibration and noise reduction measures, the vessel’s vibration reaches “Vibration-3” and noise reaches “Noise-2”, etc., and finally achieved CCS “Green Ship-1” classification notation.

The successful delivery of “Tianen 9” will inject new vitality into the LPG transportation industry in Hubei Province and even in the inland river basin.
